-{SA}'s RCON Guide-
This guide of information is being posted to explain to all RCON holders about when and how to use RCON under any given situation. Please follow and abide by these RCON rules. For your sake as well, RCON can, and will now be able to be removed.
Note* Not every situation listed will be the same as in-game. Things that happen could be things that will never have happened before, or isn't listed in these situations. Please use your mind under any situation. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
-Regulations For Using RCON-
When to Clientkick (zero second kick/admin kick): -When a non {SA} member has broken a rule after (2 or more) warnings.
When to Temp-Ban -When a non {SA} member has broken a rule after (2 or more) warnings.
When to Perma-Ban -When a non {SA} has broken a rule (5 or more times) after being temp banned/kicked excessively, you can Perma-Ban them.
If any {SA} members are causing trouble, please report this to any Elite-Ranked member with a demo and name.
You may receive warnings for breaking any of the {SA}'s rules. If you received a warning and broke it again without knowing that you received a warning, even though a RCON holder told you, you are still subject to be kicked/temp-banned. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
-Situations And How To React-
Situation 1 Many members often find the most common way of solving the problem of someone that is more skilled than them is by calling them a hacker. Of course, everyone understands that there are the few occasional hackers that get through PB, but as Krono listed, 97% of the time, PB is correct. If you are playing with someone and they get "un-natural" kills on you, /record them and submit your demo to your admins. For those that have RCON, you will most naturally want to at-least kick/temp-ban the person until you have had someone review the demo. Don't do that. Chances are that the person is just better than you are, or insanely lucky. If you do this, RCON will be taken away under the examinations we are going to setup.
Situation 2 You're inside the server with one other member and the other member has RCON. The other member gets killed, (via: Team Kill(TK), Suicide Nade, Pistol and/or Fully Auto (when un-modded server), or sprayed) and he doesn't take the time to warn the other person about their mistake and temp-bans/kicks or even perm-bans the person doing wrong. That RCON holder DOES NOT deserve RCON. Our regulations strictly say you must warn before you remove anyone from the server, unless you see blatant hacks or another admin has already warned them enough. If any of you members that do not have RCON see this please report the situation and name to Sinful, ROE's, or myself.
More situations can be listed. If you feel as though you want to input on {SA}'s security in-game then please message an admin via xfire or PM here on the site explaining your suggestions/ideas. Any admins wishing to post their ideas, feel free to reply. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
