This is How We Do

There are a few things that need to be addressed. I know that not all of this can be done at once, and that not everybody has as much time as others or can't always be on, so that it why I am posting it.


1. Server Maintenance

The servers are one of the biggest components of {SA}. This is where all the action happens. To keep this simple, here are things that need to be done for the servers:

' Enforcing the rules; this can be done by everyone in {SA} of all ranks and even non-members
- Everybody start enforcing the rules more. They come up in console messages, and are posted on the website
- This also shows responsibility and leadership

' Administration; this can be done by the people that have been givin RCON access and is a privilege that is earned
- Show us you are capable of solving and dealing with problems in a calm collective manner and carry out the correct punishments kick/temp/ban
- Not many people have RCON right now but since everybody can't always be on, we need more people that are capable admins for the servers
- Administration comes first. If you are playing a match and someone breaks a rule, go to spectator and deal with the problem or do so in game
- Do not just kick someone because they are using an auto and you want to continue the round, be respectful and give them warnings and advice
- Warning and notification decrease posts about kicks/temps/bans

' Organization; this can be done on the website by people with administration access
- Each server, rules, info and IP addresses need to be posted on the website portal and main forum page
- This can replace the music player and video if not then they can be moved since the spot is ideal for drawing attention


2. Members and Players

This is the image, body, and sole representation of what this clan is:

' Respect; this can be achieved by everyone in {SA}
- When you are playing in the server or posting on the forums adress every person with the same amount of respect you would to someone you care about
- When playing in the server you are displaying an image of what this clan is. Give them a good impression
- Encourage others to do this as well

' Leadership; this can be achieved by everyone, but is a great need in {SA}
- If you expect something of someone, make sure you meet the requirements and do above and beyond what you are supposed to first
- There are many promotions that are waiting for an answer right now. Show that you care and that you deserve it
- If someone asks you for something, go out of your way to do it for them unless it is unreasonable

' Friendship; this is a must for everybody
- Friendship is the most important part of the clan and everybody not in it
- You must be able to make friends with everyone you can and solve problems between you and someone else if they occur
- If you fight with someone apologize and be sincere. Even if you are right or wrong an apology is the first step to setting things straight
- It is sometimes easier to understand where someone is coming from if you put yourself in their shoes
- Try to solve problems without using offensive language. "What the fuck did you do that for?" is not as effective as "Why did you do that?"

' Dependability; this must be worked on by everybody in and out of {SA}
- Once you have been promoted or acknowledged for somethign you have done, don't slack off. It is your time to think bigger and better than before
- We depend on every asset of the clan so that is works smoothly; applicants, administration, members, and everyone else
- Help us help you. If you need something or have an idea, don't be shy and SHOUT it out. We respect opinion

'Instigation; this can be avoided by everyone
- If a fight or disagreement occurs, try to calm the people involved or stay out of the fight
- It is never a good idea to takes sides in a fight
- Try to solve problems before they occur
- If you have a problem and don't know what to do, ask someone else before you make a move

' Organization; this must be done by a long term member or admin
- Every member with their rank should be listed somewhere
- It must be updated frequently, and be in order of rank and alphabetized
- As of now it is not updated, there are many inactive members in the list

' Demotions; you are all part of this
- Just like a member can be removed from the clan we are all subject to demotions
- If you have been promoted, step into the bigger shoes and act like it
- I want to make it apparent that this CAN happen
- Please do your best always, and you will not be demoted unless you give a reason to be


3. Events

This is the general idea and workings of the clan. Any planned days should be organized and supported:

' Tryouts; this can be achieved by admins, but is a great idea for everyone to attend
- Tryouts must be held on the day they are scheduled or be rescheduled a reasonable amount of time in advance
- There must be one or more recruiters always present at tryouts, ROE and above ranks
- Everyone should attend tryouts if they can. It shows your support for the clan and gives a good impression to new recruits and members
- Tryouts are important and should be held on a regular basis

' {SA} Day | TGIS Exclusive; this is a members only event where we can all have fun and talk things out at the same time
- Every month there will be a TGIS where only members of {SA} are allowed to join in
- The server's name will be changed to {SA}TGIS Exclusive and be password protected
- The password will be given out in advanced
- This will give everyone a chance to have fun and say what they want as well as organize things for the clan on a larger scale
- Communication is an important part of success

' Other events; this can be done by anyone
- If you would like to hold an event, tell someone who can help you organize or advertise it
- There is no shame in getting help
- Make sure the event is approved by the appropriate ranked people
- The event must be planned and held properly with plenty of notification time


4. Website and Forums

The website is the most used part of the clan besides the servers. It is a point of communication and organization:

' General Posting; this can be done by admins
- Old posts should be read, then appropriate action made such as; stickied, deleted, corrected then replied on, and so on
- Posts should never be bashing another person or contain profanity unless it is of the humorous kind and not about any person clan or applicant related
- Any post with profanity or bashing of any kind should be dealt with in the appropriate action ( resolving the problem ) then deleted. This will minimize fighting and keep website clean.
- Malicious posts of any kind can result in demotion or in severe cases removal from the clan

' Applications; this can be done partly by everyone and admins
- Applications should receive feedback. Anyone can leave feedback on an application. This will let the applicant know what they should improve on or if they are doing well
- Any time you back a person on their application you must give written permission afterward on their post or the names of unverified backers will be removed
- Old applications, and ones that are denied for correction purposes should be deleted after every month or so
- Applications are based on maturity, sniping ability and activity in that order
- Five backers are a requirement on applications and they must be people who have a rank, then at least two ROEs or above must approve an application for tryouts

' Bans; this can be done by admins
- There are many replies about people being banned and they do not know why. There must be a bans section made with the following categories:
i. Temp/Ban Appeals - If you are banned, post here for an unban request
ii. Ban Reports and information - If you have been banned, check here first to see if it has been reported
iii. Do Not Ban(s) - These are a list of people that should never be banned
iv. Probations - If you have been banned it may only be for a short time, check here to see if it has been reported
v. Fakes and Bans list - A list of all the bans made on {SA} servers
- In the bans section there should be a detail explanation on; how to make an appeal, when you will be unbanned if it is a probation, who to not ban, and if you have banned someone then why
- This will make it a lot easier to keep bans organized without having people post in the wrong sections
- Bans do not need to be reported, but it is a good idea to do so to reduce confusion
- Probations must be reported so that the people can be unbanned on the appropriate day

' Servers; this can be done by admins
- All the servers as well as a list of their rules should be posted in an obvious area with IP address, name of server, and info on who owns or provided the server
- It should be updated when there are any changes to the servers with the exception to tryout days and events
- They should have all the information required to join the sever and contact the owner and/or providing company in the details

That's right! I think we need people all over the world who have the rcon pw to keep an eye on..

Thanks everyone. If you have anything to add or debate then just say so.

I have now created the monthly spotlight which should replace the mw2 video and the music player and will keep people active and entertained.
